Ruby Quintet at 100 Wardour St

WHEN: 28-02-2017

Join the quintessential smoky-voiced jazz singer and her quartet on Tuesday 28th February as they put their own sultry spin on everything from Ray Charles to Justin Timberlake

Channeling the likes of Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughn, jazz chanteuse Ruby Wood is the quintessential smoky-voiced nightclub singer. She honed her craft performing up and down the country with the Bonobo’s live band in 2011 – and with the critically-acclaimed dubstep & soul group Submotion Orchestra, who’ve performed at festivals including The Big Chill, Latitude, Outlook and Bestival. Between them, the musicians in her band have played for the likes of singer/songwriter Lily Allen and Hurts. Now, Ruby and her jazz quartet – with piano, bass and gentle percussion – perform fresh interpretations of everything from Ray Charles’ Georgia On My Mind to Justin Timberlake’s SexyBack in their own sultry, simmering style.

**Main band 9.00pm – 9.45pm / 10.15pm – 11pm
