Detroit take you back to the 1960s, when Motown artists like Marvin Gaye, Martha and the Vandellas and The Supremes brought the Detroit Sound to the world stage. With their two velvet-voiced lead singers, gorgeous four-part harmonies and pared-down acoustic arrangements for just piano, guitar and gentle percussion, Detroit’s soulful, mellow sound is perfectly suited to smaller, more intimate gatherings and spaces. Between them, their two lead singers have performed alongside such international superstars as Adele, Jason Derulo and Groove Armada – and their live band are among the finest session musicians in the country. Looking elegant in black and white, the band perform a selection of timeless soul classics, with style – from Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing to I Say A Little Prayer.
Joining Detroit live on stage is West End Star Andrew Derbyshire! Andrew is best known for his lead performances in the original cast of ‘We Will Rock You’, ‘Dirty Dancing’, ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat’, the musical tour of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and was most recently seen in ‘Thriller’ on the UK tour and in the West end.
