Sharon Rose and ‘The Thorns’, put on a show that is a cocktail of energy, heart, poise and cool and it really does elevate and cultivate the spirits; quite a feat for a pop/soul band. It has been said at of one of their performances that the ‘energy electrified the audience’ (Parris Oh- Music Blogger SB.TV). They have performed on reputable stages like Jazz Café (Camden) and The Islington Assembly Hall and in clubs including Club 10 and Embassy in Knightsbridge.
The young band recently opened up for American-based, chart-topping R’n’B colossus, Marsha Ambrosius which was followed by a furore of social media buzz calling them a revelation.
Sharon Rose will be joined by our West End Special Guest, Lawrence Rowe. Lawrence hails from The BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology & University of Westminster. Lawrence is currently in West End’s hit theatre production ‘MOTOWN THE MUSICAL’, which is showing at Shaftesbury Theatre, where he is one of the Lead singers of The Temptations (Dennis Edwards) and plays Mickey Stevenson. His distinctive and soulful tone, high energy of performance; captivates and transcends every time. Over the years, Lawrence has worked in various roles within the music industry from being a guest lead vocalist to vocal arranger and even background vocalist with many acclaimed artists, such as: Will Young, Samm Henshaw, Marcus Foster (Seramic), Damon Albarn (Front man of Blur & Gorillaz), Jermain Jackman (The Voice UK Winner 2014), The London Community Gospel Choir (LCGC) and many more.
